includes soccer field, ice rink, outdoor basketball court and children's playground Built in the 1940’s, Regent Park is Canada's oldest and largest social housing project in one of the poorest neighbourhoods in the country (prior to revitalization). Regent Park Athletic Grounds was born from a revitalization project that transformed 69 acres in Toronto’s east downtown. The project has gained world-wide recognition for being innovative and sustainable and was lead by the Toronto Community Housing, The Daniels Corporation and the City of Toronto, and MLSE Foundation. This complex offers an innovative athletic ground and also contains a basketball court, outdoor hockey rink and soccer pitch.
